Dr. Levett, CEO of Presaj, combines first-hand knowledge of high-risk surgical procedures with an understanding of quality systems in healthcare and experience in conducting research. He has maintained an active practice in adult cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgery for the past 40 years and has performed over 5000 cardiac surgery procedures during his career. As a former Healthcare Division Chair for the American Society for Quality (ASQ), former National Examiner for the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Baldrige National Quality Award program, and former Chair of the Standards and Appeals Board for DNV Healthcare, Dr. Levett understands the current risk-mitigation standards in healthcare and their limitations. Dr. Levett is also an authority on ISO standards in healthcare. He led Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa to ISO 9001:2000 certification (the largest medical group in the U.S. to achieve this distinction) and co-authored the book, Using ISO 9001 in Healthcare: Applications for Quality Systems, Performance Improvement, Clinical Integration, Accreditation, and Patient Safety (second edition, ASQ Press). He has authored or co-authored over 100 original articles, books, and scientific abstracts. In addition, Dr. Levett contributed to the development of digital healthcare products for My Health Diary, Inc. and The qMetrix Group.
Travis Mathison, MSc
Travis Mathison, CTO of Presaj, is an entrepreneur with a passion for improving healthcare. Travis obtained a bachelor's degree with honors in Science-Business with a second major in Chinese from the University of Notre Dame in 2012. He completed his master's degree at University College Dublin in 2013, where he studied Cognitive Science with a research focus on medical errors and graduated first in his class. He then spent two years as a medical student at Vanderbilt University before accepting a position at Higher Learning Technologies, Inc as Subject Matter Expert in Medicine and Director of Medical Projects in 2015. In this role, Travis expanded the company's medical portfolio from 3 applications to over 40 applications, representing the creation of nearly 5000 pages of new educational content for physicians and medical students. Simultaneously, he pioneered the development of a new user experience with a multi-application user interface that utilizes new content modalities, tracks longitudinal performance across products, and streamlines new purchases. Travis also consulted for leading medical publishers, including McGraw-Hill Education and Demos Medical Publishing, where he played a key role in shaping new content initiatives and directing textbook revision projects.
